Director: Lew Landers
Writers: Aubrey Wisberg and Jack Pollexfen
Cast: Anthony Dexter [Capt. William Kidd], Eva Gabor [Judith Duvall, the Slave Girl], Alan Hale Jr. [Jay Simpson], James Seay [The Earl of Bellomont], Richard Karlan [Capt. Avery], Noel Cravat [L'ollinaise], Lyle Talbot [Capt. Pace], Sonia Sorrell [Anne Bonney], Michael Ross [Blackbeard, as Mike Ross], Jack Reitzen [Bartholomew], Robert Long [Calico Jack], William Cottrell [Roberts, as Bill Cottrell], William Tannen [Steve Castle, as Bill Tannen], John Crawford [Bonnett]
Storyline: Anthony Dexter - bare-chested most of the film with the smoldering nostrils from "Valentino" as "Captain Kidd" is saved from hanging by an Earl who wants to get his hand on Kidd's treasure. The Earl thinks the best method is to put a woman confederate (Jeanine Duvall) aboard Kidd's ship as a slave girl to wrest or wrestle the information from him. They fight a lot as a prelude to falling in love, and then work together against the evil Earl's none-too-well laid plan. Alan Hale, Jr. (Simpson) is along as Kidd's trusted friend, while Sonia Sorrell (as Ann Bonney) displays a lot of what the best-undressed female pirate wasn't wearing on pirate ships of the time.

Corsaires du Bois de Boulogne, Les [aka Pirates of the Bois du Bologne, The] (1954)
Director: Norbert Carbonnaux
Writer: Norbert Carbonnaux
Cast: Raymond Bussières [Hector Colomb], Annette Poivre [Adèle], Christian Duvaleix [Cyprien], Véra Norman [Caroline Grossac], Denise Grey [Mme. Grossac], Jean Ozenne [Marcel Grossac],

Storyline: Les Corsaires du Bois de Boulogne (Pirates of the Bois de Bouglogne) can't possibly be taken seriously, but that was the filmmakers' intention. Marginally based on a true story, the film is predicated on a misfire publicity stunt. A street singer, his sweetheart and his best friend cook up a phony shipwreck, hoping to attract attention--and job offers--to themselves. Conspiring with the trio are a wealthy girl and her fun-loving father. Practically everything goes wrong, and soon the singer and his three young companions are bobbing up and down on a raft in the middle of the ocean. It all ends happily, of course, with plenty of chucklesome complications along the way.

Cardigan], Henry Rowland [Williams], Dayton Lummis [Capt. Flint, as Dayton Lumis], Robert Long [Long John Silver], Ken Terrell [Thompson]
Storyline: American academic Clive Stone is conducting research on pirate lore for a book. Part of that lore includes pirate Captain Flint of "Treasure Island" fame having hidden some piratical treasure on the island over two hundred years ago. As such, Clive writes to Jamesina 'Jamie' Hawkins, a direct descendant of Jim Hawkins (after who she was named) and the current proprietor of the Admiral Ben Bow Inn, to inquire about some of her possessions, namely a map and a bible, which he believes are clues to the hidden treasure, which she in turn believes is only lore and doesn't exist. Over a year after that inquiry, Stone visits Jamie coincidentally on the day that thieves try to steal the map, which Jamie proudly displays in the Inn. Stone requests to borrow the map, to which Jamie agrees - only if she goes along with him to Treasure Island - based on an incident that happens that day after the theft attempt...
