Crossbones (2012) - Not yet released
Writers: Neil Cross and Colin Woolard (book)
Storyline: Set during the golden age of piracy in the 1700s and centers on legendary pirate Blackbeard. Crossbones is an upcoming American television drama that is expected to air on the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) during the 2012–13 television season. The show was created by Neil Cross, creator of the British television series Luther, and whose television writing credits include Spooks and Doctor Who, and is a fictional adaptation of the life of the notorious pirate Edward Teach (aka Blackbeard) in and around the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. It's 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence, the first functioning democracy in the Americas, where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, a.k.a. Blackbeard, reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Part shantytown, part marauder's paradise, this is a place like no other on earth - and a mounting threat to international commerce. To gain control of this fearsome society, Tom Lowe, a highly skilled undercover assassin, is sent to the buccaneers' haven to take down the brilliant and charismatic Blackbeard. But the closer Lowe gets, the more he finds that his quest is not so simple. Lowe can't help but admire the political ideals of Blackbeard, whose thirst for knowledge knows no bounds - and no law. But Lowe is not the only danger to Blackbeard's rule. He is a man with many villainous rivals and one great weakness - a passionately driven woman whom he cannot deny.

Dehydrated in the heat, and suffering from a sudden lack of alcohol, Haddock hallucinates, and starts to remember stories about his ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock (Andy Serkis), who was captain of the Unicorn during the 17th century. Sir Francis' treasure-laden ship was attacked by a pirate ship, led by the masked Red Rackham (Daniel Craig), and, after a fierce battle and eventual surrender, Sir Francis chose to sink the Unicorn, and most of the treasure, rather than allow it to fall into Rackham's hands. It transpires that there were three models of the Unicorn, each containing a scroll. Together, the scrolls will reveal the location of the sunken Unicorn, and its treasure. Having bought a model ship, the Unicorn, for a pound off a market stall Tintin is initially puzzled that the sinister Mr. Sakharine should be so eager to buy it from him, resorting to murder and kidnapping Tintin - accompanied by his marvellous dog Snowy - to join him and his gang as they sail to Morocco on an old cargo ship. Sakharine has bribed the crew to revolt against the ship's master, drunken Captain Haddock, but Tintin, Snowy and Haddock escape, arriving in Morocco at the court of a sheikh, who also has a model of the Unicorn. Haddock tells Tintin that over three hundred years earlier his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock was forced to scuttle the original Unicorn when attacked by a piratical forebear of Sakharine but he managed to save his treasure and provide clues to its location in three separate scrolls, all of which were secreted in models of the Unicorn. Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code: Wedlocked (2011)
Director: James Ward Byrkit
Writers: Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio
Cast: John Vickery [Auctioneer], Vanessa Branch [Giselle], Lauren Maher [Scarlett], David Bailie [Cotton], Walter Williamson [The Marquis D'Avis - the rich pirate], Fred Maske [Atencio - the poor pirate], Martin Horsey [Gregor - the drunk pirate], Jack Donner [Jerome - the old pirate], Ric Sarabia [Nigel - the skinny pirate], Barry Cullison [Slurry GIbson - the sitting pirate],
Christopher Rocha [Mungard], Dale Dickey [Oona - the wench], Christopher DesRoches [Dante - the handsome pirate, as Christopher Maxwell], Lucas Cheadle [Pirate Band - upright bass], Steven Gurr [Pirate Band - guitar]
Storyline: Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code: Wedlocked was a short film based on the Pirates of the Caribbean film series as the prequel to The Curse of the Black Pearl. The plot took inspiration from the "Auction scene" from the original ride. The short film stars John Vickery (Auctioneer), Vanessa Branch (Giselle), and Lauren Maher (Scarlett). It was directed by James Ward Byrkit, produced by Leora Glass, and written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. "Wedlocked" was a labor of love, a short film I directed especially for super-fans of the "Pirates" movies. Knowing we had a small budget and borrowed sets, Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott wrote a script for me that recalled the Pirates ride more than the movies. 'Slappers" Vanessa Branch and Lauren Maher turned in leading lady performances that should get them their own tv spinoff.
